When You Volunteer In The Museum As Long As You Remain Committed To Your Volunteer Work, One Child Or Grandchild Is Welcomed To Visit With You.

Volunteer Description:

Reports To: Director Of Educational

Programming Summary: Provide Service With A Smile To The Many Visitors Of The Columbus Area Children’s Museum! As A Volunteer, You Are The Face Of Our Museum And Should Maintain A Courteous, Upbeat Manner Welcoming To Visitors!

Essential Duties And Responsibilities Include The Following:

  • Assist With The Flow Of People Through Exhibits.
  • Assist With Proper Usage Of Exhibits.
  • Assist Staff With Miscellaneous Cleaning Of Exhibits, Common Areas, And Bathrooms.
  • Engage Museum Guests To Provide A Quality Experience.
  • Ensure Safety Throughout The CACM.
  • Restocking Of Any Products.
  • Assist With Filling Out Incident Reports In Case Of Accidents.
  • Enforcing All CACM Rules.
  • Assist With Special Events.
  • Reading Or Assisting With Educational Programming Activities.
  • Other Duties As Assigned.

Volunteer Qualifications:

  • Volunteers Must Be At Least 15 Years Of Age.
  • Fun, Enthusiastic, And Welcoming
  • Reliable, Punctual, Professional In Nature
  • Excited To Work With Families, Staff, And Other Volunteers.
  • All Volunteers Will Attend Training To Learn CACM’s Mission, Values, And Guidelines. Volunteers Will Be Expected To Represent The Museum In A Positive Light While Serving As A Volunteer.
  • All Volunteers Will Be Required To Complete A Background Check.

Experience Requirements:

  • Bilingual Preferred
  • Aged 15+
  • Works Well With Families And Children.
  • Enthusiastic Supporter Of The Museum!
  • Pass A CACM Background Check (If Over 18)
