Code of Conduct

The Columbus Area Children’s Museum is excited to welcome you. To ensure everyone has a safe and fun visit, all guests are expected to follow the museum’s guest policies outlined below.

Be Nice!

  • Treat other guests and museum personnel with kindness and respect.
  • Treat exhibits and props with care.
  • Take turns, share, and clean up before you move on.
  • Use respectful language. Profanity, harassment, threatening language, physical interactions, and clothing with offensive language/symbols will not be tolerated.

Keep it Safe!

  • Children must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver over the age of 14 at all times.
  • Parents and caregivers are responsible for the actions and safety of their children. Please have fun with, and supervise, your children.
  • Adults will not be admitted into CACM alone. If visiting for business or requesting a tour, please check in with the front desk.
  • No devices larger than a cell phone are permitted to be used while visiting the museum.
  • Running is discouraged to provide a safe, enjoyable experience for everyone.
  • Use exhibits and props safely and appropriately.

Respect The Rules!

  • CACM is a weapon-free, smoke-free, tobacco-free, drug-free, and vape-free facility.
  • Strollers are welcome in themuseum, however, all recreational vehicles (wagons, bikes, skate shoes, etc.) are prohibited.

Note:

To maintain a high standard of service and safety for all guests, the Columbus Area Children’s Museum
has the right to ask anyone violating these guidelines, or museum policies as written or stated by museum personnel, to leave the premises.

The Columbus Area Children’s Museum reserves the right to refuse service and/or access, and revoke a
membership to any individual for any reason, including disregarding the museum policies or acting disrespectfully toward museum guests, staff, and property.
